چکیده

In this work, a lipophilic ophthalmic drug, lutein, has been entrapped in liposomes, using supercritical assisted process. Effects of pressure, temperature, and drug to lipid ratio variation were studied on mean diameters lutein encapsulation efficiency. Liposomes with between 153 ± 38 267 56 nm produced, efficiencies 86.5 0.4% 97.8 1.2% obtained. A Scanning Electron Microscope confirmed spherical shape dimensions vesicles. The temperature for the production liposomes showed significant impact retention time double lipidic layer. Lutein release from produced at 35 °C ended almost 4.5 days; whereas, 40 faster 3 then, vesicles obtained 45 released their content only 2 days. Drug raw data well-fitted Weibull model (R2 up 99%).

Hydrophobic Drug-Loaded PEGylated Magnetic Liposomes for Drug-Controlled Release

Less targeted and limited solubility of hydrophobic-based drug are one of the serious obstacles in drug delivery system. Thus, new strategies to enhance the solubility of hydrophobic drug and controlled release behaviors would be developed. Herein, curcumin, a model of hydrophobic drug, has been loaded into PEGylated magnetic liposomes as a drug carrier platform for drug controlled release syst...

Production of Albumin Microspheres for Drug Release by Supercritical Assisted Atomization

Microparticulate carriers are widely employed as drug controlled release system. In this work, the Supercritical Assisted Atomization (SAA) technique was used to produce microspheres of Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA), selected as carrier and gentamicin sulphate (GS) as a model drug. The processability of BSA and GS by SAA was studied using water as solvent and microspheres were successfully produce...

Investigation of drug release from paclitaxel loaded polylactic acid nanofibers

Objective(s): In this study, drug loaded electrospun nanofibrous mats were prepared and drug release and mechanism from prepared nanofibers were investigated.  Materials and Methods: Paclitaxel (PTX) loaded polylactic acid (PLA) nanofibers were prepared by electrospinning. The effects of process parameters, such as PTX concentration, tip to collector distance, voltage, temperature and flow rate...
